KIDZ BOP Is Scouting - Could Your Child Be the Next Star?

KIDZ BOP Is Scouting - Could Your Child Be the Next Star?

KIDZ BOP will be scouting talent directly inside the workshop rooms at this year's Young Talent Expo!

Millie Binks, Talent Manager and Casting Lead from the global kids' music brand will be on the lookout for rising stars who show potential, personality and passion for performing. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for young performers aged 9 to 13 to get noticed and possibly take their first step into the spotlight. Whether your child is already a confident singer or just starting to shine, this could be the moment that kick-starts their journey with KIDZ BOP!

What age range and vocal level do you look for when selecting kids for KIDZ BOP?

Typically, we audition children between the ages of 9 and 13. At KIDZ BOP, we’re looking for kids who are passionate about singing and show confidence and potential – not perfection.

Once selected, our KIDZ BOP Kids receive regular vocal coaching and studio recording sessions every other week to help develop their full potential. In these sessions, we focus on vocal range, agility, and placement, nurturing both their performance and recording voices.

Most importantly, we look for kids who love what they do, are eager to learn, and show exciting vocal promise.

How much prior performance or recording experience is ideal or acceptable for candidates?

Experience levels vary widely among our KIDZ BOP Kids! Some have performed professionally in the West End, while others are just starting out and have only sung or danced at home or school.

Prior experience is not required – we value passion and potential above all.

What aspects of a performance carry the most weight in your decision process?

This can depend on upcoming projects, but currently we’re especially keen to find well-rounded performers – kids with vibrant personalities who enjoy both singing and dancing.

While singing carries slightly more weight in the audition process, we also love to see:

  • Individuality

  • Stage/camera presence

  • A real spark of enthusiasm

If selected, what sort of training, support, or development does KIDZ BOP provide?

Our KIDZ BOP Kids receive comprehensive support and training throughout their time with us. This includes:

  • Ongoing vocal coaching

  • Bi-weekly recording sessions

  • Performance bootcamps (especially before tours)

  • Encouragement of regular dance training to build technique and improve choreography pickup

  • Media training for interviews and meet-and-greets

We also guide both kids and parents on important topics such as:

  • Social media use

  • Vlogging and presenting

  • Online safety

This helps our KIDZ BOP Kids build a positive and confident digital presence.

Are there any commitments selected kids must be prepared for?

Yes – KIDZ BOP Kids are involved in a wide range of exciting opportunities, including:

  • Live performances (on stage and TV)

  • Theatre and stadium tours

  • Music video shoots

  • Interviews and meet-and-greets

  • Voiceover work

  • Album recordings

  • Even red carpet events and press junkets

While prior experience is helpful, it’s not essential – we prepare each child thoroughly, supported by a top-tier team of choreographers, vocal coaches, and media trainers.

What are the next steps and timelines after a scouting audition?

We scout talent year-round and hold annual auditions.

The typical process includes:

  • Self-tape submission

  • In-person auditions

  • Bootcamp stage (for final candidates)

Throughout this journey, we work closely with families to ensure they understand the commitment involved and can make the best decision for their child.

We're always on the lookout for the next rising star and we can't wait to meet the young performers at this year's Young Talent Expo 2025!
