The HND Acting Programme: What It Offers

If you’re a young performer looking for serious, hands-on acting training, Raindance’s HND Acting programme is an exciting and forward-thinking choice.

This course focuses on practical performance for screen, helping actors build essential skills in movement, voice, and character work while also gaining a deep understanding of film production. From the start, students work alongside filmmakers and writers to create real projects, developing confidence both in front of and behind the camera.

Students also explore the creative process from multiple angles, learning not just how to act but how to collaborate, direct, and shape stories that resonate.

And here’s the exciting part: your student films may even be eligible for screening at the Raindance Film Festival, giving you a chance to showcase your work to industry professionals early in your career.

Upon completion, students have the opportunity to progress to the BA (Hons) degree, earning full university-level recognition in Film and Performing Arts from De Montfort University.
