Louise Kim Salter is an award-winning film actress, artist, and producer with credits across stage and screen. She trained under Olivier Award-winning director Rebecca Frecknall at the National Youth Theatre and holds an MA (Distinction) in Filmmaking from the Raindance MA programme. This year, she played the leading role alongside Tom Durant Pritchard (Andor, Miss Scarlet, The Crown) in the supernatural thriller feature film Darker Days and performs Reverie: The Haunted—an Arts Council-funded one-woman show touring Cambridge Junction, St George’s Theatre, and Peterborough Museum.
Louise has received multiple Best Actress awards, including for Butterfly (part of Girl Feels: Into the Blue on Amazon Prime) and How to be Human, which she also produced. She now mentors emerging writers, filmmakers, and actors—particularly those looking to create their own opportunities, as she has throughout her career. Her work is rooted in an ongoing exploration of the human experience in all its forms.
